Article 1 – Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all quotations, agreements, and services provided by Wereld van Begrip, based in Ermelo and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number .
By entering into an agreement, the client accepts these terms and conditions.
Article 2 – Quotations
Quotations are non-binding and valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. After this period, the quotation expires.
Article 3 – Formation of agreement
An agreement is formed when both parties have signed it. Signing may take place on paper or via a digital signing system (DocuSeal). The date of the final signature is the effective date of the agreement.
Article 4 – Services
Wereld van Begrip offers the following services:
Individual counselling sessions Individual sessions of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, online or in person, at an agreed rate per session.
Guidance trajectory (minimum 1 year) A continuous trajectory of at least twelve months. The per-session rate is lower than for individual sessions and is agreed upon in the contract. The frequency and schedule are determined in mutual consultation.
Wereld van Begrip commits to providing the agreed services to the best of its ability. The services represent a best-efforts obligation, not a results obligation.
Article 5 – Rates and payment
- Rates are agreed upon prior to the assignment and recorded in the agreement. Wereld van Begrip reserves the right to adjust rates annually in line with indexation.
- Wereld van Begrip is exempt from VAT under the Dutch small business scheme (KOR). Agreed rates are therefore all-inclusive prices.
- Invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date.
- If payment is not received within the payment term, the client is in default. Wereld van Begrip reserves the right to suspend services until payment has been received.
Article 6 – Cancellation and termination
By the client — individual sessions Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged at the full session rate.
By the client — guidance trajectory (minimum 1 year) The same 24-hour rule applies to individual sessions within a trajectory.
Termination of the trajectory as a whole requires one calendar month’s written notice (by email). The first three months of the trajectory are non-cancellable. Sessions scheduled within the notice period remain payable.
By Wereld van Begrip Wereld van Begrip applies the same 24-hour notice for rescheduling or cancelling individual sessions. In the event of unforeseen unavailability, the client will be notified as soon as possible and a new appointment will be arranged.
Upon termination of a trajectory by Wereld van Begrip, a notice period of one calendar month will be observed. Wereld van Begrip will endeavour to refer the client, if desired, to a suitable alternative counsellor.
Article 7 – Confidentiality
Wereld van Begrip treats all information shared during sessions as strictly confidential. An exception applies when the safety of the client or others is at risk. In such cases, Wereld van Begrip will, where possible, first consult with the client before taking action.
Article 8 – Intellectual property
All materials developed or provided by Wereld van Begrip — including worksheets, exercises, methodologies, and other documents — remain the intellectual property of Wereld van Begrip at all times, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
In some cases, Wereld van Begrip uses materials whose intellectual property is owned by a third party, but for which Wereld van Begrip has obtained a right of use. This will be indicated on or with the relevant material.
The client may use provided materials for personal use only and may not reproduce, publish, or share them with third parties without prior permission.
Article 9 – Referral
If matters arise during the guidance that fall outside the expertise of Wereld van Begrip, Wereld van Begrip reserves the right to advise the client to seek referral to another professional. The implications for the trajectory will be determined in mutual consultation.
Article 10 – Force majeure
In the event of force majeure — including illness, family circumstances, power or internet outages, and other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Wereld van Begrip — Wereld van Begrip is entitled to suspend the performance of the agreement or, if the situation of force majeure lasts more than thirty days, to dissolve the agreement without any obligation to pay compensation. Amounts already paid for services not yet rendered will in that case be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Article 11 – Liability
Wereld van Begrip is not liable for damages resulting from the services provided, unless due to intent or gross negligence. Liability is at all times limited to the amount invoiced for the relevant assignment.
The client remains at all times responsible for their own choices and their own process.
Article 12 – Governing law and disputes
All agreements are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will preferably be resolved through mutual consultation. If this is not possible, they will be submitted to the competent court in the district of Gelderland, the Netherlands.
Article 13 – Amendments
Wereld van Begrip reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. The most current version is always available on this website. Last updated: 18 June 2026.
